UNLV Chess Club Grand Prix 2nd Tournament for Spring 2010 starts on March 6
Starting from March 6, 2010, UNLV Chess Club will host UNLV Chess Club Grand
Prix Tournament vol. 2. The games will be USCF rated and will run through every Saturdays
till the end of Semester.
The Grand Prix tournament will hold nice surprises for its top 10 players!
The tournament will be held at the Student Union. Registrations for each round will
end at 1:45pm. Rounds will begin at 2:00pm.
You must be a member of the USCF to participate in the rated games. To sign up as

Spring 2010 Meetings start on Feb 18, Thursday from 2:30pm till 5:00pm
Our new regular meeting days will be Thursdays from 2:30pm till 5:00pm starting
from Feb 18. Please check the calendar for more details
about meetings. Mostly meetings will be in room 218 but there are couple of exceptions,
so please make sure you check the calendar. You can
stop by anytime during the meeting to have a casual game, discuss some games, learn
chess, have fun!...
We will have BLITZ on the same day! ;)
UNLV Chess Club Spring 2010 Meetings on Tuesdays are CANCELLED
I have to cancel reservation for Tuesdays due to low attendance, I will pick another
day and time and I'll keep you updated, till then please check the

Southern Nevada Invitational Tournament started on January 11!
The Clark County and UNLV Chess Clubs Round-Robin Tournament with 8 players
began January 11, 2010 and will run through the next 7 Mondays. It will be
a Round-Robin event held at the Clark County Chess Club.
The tournament will be held at the Clark County Chess Club (2040 W. Charleston,
6th floor, of the University of Nevada School of Medicine Building). Rounds will
begin at 7pm.

Clark County Chess Club Tournament started on January 7!
The Clark County
Chess Club 6-Round Tournament begins January 7, 2010 and will
run through the next six Thursdays. It will be a six-round event held at the Clark
County Chess Club.
The tournament will be held at the Clark County Chess Club (2040 W. Charleston,
6th floor, of the University of Nevada School of Medicine Building). Rounds will
begin at 7:30pm.

As UNLV Chess Club, we were at North American Open Chess Tournament (Dec 26-29)
at Bally's and Sean got the 1st place with no losts and no draws! Congratulations
